I just love the way L details the strips. first panel: the jimmy doll, iron guy toy and the paddle-ball. last panel, the expressions on Glen and Fe’s faces.
I haven’t really watched Dragon Ball Z. Son Goku’s name sounds suspiciously like the Monkey King (Sun Wukong) of chinese mythology.
i remember.. my dog’s name is chuchai, turns out one of the kids from our neighborhood has the same nickname..when they went out to play in our yard, our dad was yelling at our dog, the poor kid went to my dad and stood there for a good minute then left with an annoyed expression.. ^^

Chompy: kaya naman pala. Cute names, very asian. I gave most of my dogs human names: Milo, Koji, Max, and Jack, Tigger being the only exception. I got tired of my highschool classmates bragging about their kid and pushing pictures in my face so I’d join the brag fest and they’d only find out that my ‘babies’ are dogs after they see the pics.
Jopoy: That was for the strip.. The names I gave where for my actual pups..
Although.. it was Mini-Chomps who called her pups that.. maybe the humans, aka Chompy and Glen, called her puppies differently.. The names of the other 3 wasn’t really revealed.. I think…

Phoebs.. Yeah, actually, Dragonball admitted borrowing some elements from the Monkey King.
Pilandok: my other pups names are Choi-choi, Ching-ching, and Cham-cham.

Dragonball was initially supposed to be an adaptation of the Monkey King, but it steered away from that plot later on.

I can imagine her to be as feisty as Mrs Son Gokou in the series.
