Nyahahaha! Before we had a cat, our dogs caught a big rat. And palaban pa talaga yung rat, nakatakas pa siya so hinabol pa rin siya ng dogs namin, hahaha.

If I read my history correctly, Daschunds like our Princess here, were bred to go after burrowing animals like Badgers.
Good to know their hunting instincts are put to good use to put rats in check.
Though, the breeds originally meant to control rats in Royal palaces and stately homes were toy dogs like Spaniels and poodles
