Sorry for the late post, but I would like to give a special shoutout to the newlyweds, Mike Lim and Vida Medina. They had their lovely wedding in Don Bosco, Makati a couple of weeks ago.
They commissioned me to do the art design for their unique wedding invitation and gift, which you can see in the last three images.
While waiting for the oysters in their Marina reception, I formed Chompy images from petals strewn across the dining table.
It even chomps on paper!
Good oysters, by the way.
Congratulations, Bitoy and Bidang!
Hey! I made those Chompy petals!!! 😀 :p
Aaaaaaawwww…. Ganda ng idea for the invites and souvenir.
Btw, dyan pala ko nag first communion. Alam ko may pictures pa ko nun e.
Wow! those are the hands down the coolest invitations I’ve ever seen! Kudos! Ever consider making greeting cards or stationery sets featuring beerkada? I’d be the first in line to purchase them. I’d love to own a beerkada organizer or desk calendar… maybe next year?? =)
Phoebe: Any website with stationery designs you prefer that you could suggest? I’m currently studying threadless.com for shirt ideas.
Lyndon: I haven’t seen a website with stationery designs that I particularly like as yet, I’ll have to get back to you on that. I like the Calvin & Hobbes and Gary Larson’s The Far Side approach to merchandising though. It’s very popular, but not as nauseatingly overexposed as Garfield, Snoopy and Carlo Caparas stuff.
Have you by any chance seen a ‘The Far Side’ Christmas card? It’s a comic panel from the series on the outside with a very simple greeting inside. I can scan it and email it to you if you want.
Oh my Gulay! Lyndon!!! Ngayon ko lang ito nabasa. Thanks for the greetings! Thank you so much too for being a part of the most important date of our lives. =) Kundi dahil sa mga ginawa mo, ours would’ve been another ordinary wedding. Your cartoons were spot on! Ang daming nagsabi na the invitation was a keeper kasi kakaiba. Sa uulitin! (binyag naman siguro pag may baby Lim na. hehehe)
