I was told Chompy would get better results by motioning her fingers to her mouth…
…which would result in scissors pointed at her lips.
…wait, what?

our favorite place to stay in hk has a wellcome 24-hour grocery within walking distance.
the ladies who tend the bakery inside are mostly pinay who enjoy having other kababayans to talk to. 🙂
Nice. Which area is that? For future reference 🙂
Chomps, it’s Parklane Hotel in Causeway Bay. It’s a little pricey but worth it because everything is within walking distance. The Hotel’s 2nd floor has an HMV, an IKEA in the basement and a Hagen Daas right outside the side entrance, and a 24-hour Wellcome supermarket literally next door. and Times Square is only about 6 blocks away. It’s perfect for shopping, and as long as you don’t plan on going to Ocean Park or Disneyland. It’s almost on the other end of Hongkong from the airport kasi, about 40 minutes from the airport to the hotel on the airport shutle.
I’ve seen Parklane Hotel and I went to Ikea :D. So the name of the 24-hour grocery store is ‘Wellcome’.. I’m interested kasi on local supermarkets 🙂
We stayed at Lanson Place and it’s within walking distance 😀
Yeah, there are lots of hotels in the Petersen Road area. Parkane and Excelsior are my favorites though coz they’re the most convenient. The best local supermarkets there are Wellcome and Park ‘n Shop. Wellcome has the better prices and a good selection of hot takeout meals. HK$20 gets you a rice and viand combo that’s enough for 2. Our usual modus is to indulge in a late breakfast at Oliver’s Sandwiches or Starbucks, skip lunch and get dinner from Wellcome 🙂 The next time you’re there, Try the hot chocolate at Starbucks, it’s way better than the hot chocolate available at our local starbucks.
Hey! That’s me on the first panel! the one, uhhh…doing the “devious” thing…Hahahaha ^^
