This is in response to that Thai ad about disconnecting to connect.
Here’s an idea: what about connecting… to connect?

I imagine that the next step in human evolution would be that humans don’t need voice communication.
They will have developed organs to communicate through either Bluetooth or Wifi
For years, I imagined that if people developed mass telepathy, a new era of harmony would ensue.
Nowadays, I think a majority will die because they can’t handle all the pornography safely tucked away in the recesses of private minds.
That’s what Firewalls and services like Dansguardian are for unless it’s password-protected.
Sexual contact may be through BlueTooth or an older method called USBs
Bluetooth / wifi is so 21st century..
I’m with telepathy, as in Asimov’s robot series.
BTW, nice commercial from Thailand. So they are not selling any product here? hindi ba nagalit ang mga telco? haha..
How sad.
I’m not kidding.
The video makes a good point…
yay biruin nyo ginawa ko to last 8 weeks ago till now at ngaun ko lang nakita tong video na to XD
Whether it be through telepathy or WiFi, with, I bet you would still need to pay for load, be billed monthly or figure out how to subscribe to your network’s unlimited messaging scheme.
This reminds me of a really old Beerkada strip that was not included in the compilations nor archived here. It was part of an arc which covered one of the Beerkada’s first provincial outings (though Glenn was not in it since he went home to his folks). There, a character was introduced who was said to only communicate through text messaging. The last panel in that strip showed her sending one of the Beerkada an SMS saying: Hi!.
L, Lei or Phoebe, can you confirm when this strip appeared in the papers, whether it was compiled in a book or whether such a Beerkada strip does exist?
Tora: That’s a subject of of cracked.com’s article, where we’re in a future where everything’s unlimited but we’re willing to pay for it to keep society going.

while I’m all for connecting to people real-time, there are some people we’d prefer to connect with at a distance. to quote Carrie Fisher, “some people are a good anecdote but a bad reality”.
Tora: I can’t seem to remember this strip. Are you sure you read it at Beerkada? 😛 More details please?
maganda itong topic para sa thesis ko…wooo…=)
