Alan could simply scan and print the pages so that he could read the text in full.
While running away from Boopey because he practically flattens the book every time he lays it on the scanner.

lol that was awesome
surprised he could even read that much
what’s the title of the book he’s reading?
New books are so hard to read without ruining the spine…
yup, new books are real troublesome to read since you wouldn’t like to damage the spine. damaging it will make it look old 😛
Or he can scan them with only one page on the scanner bed.
With the Bar days away (round 1 last Sunday IRL), any thing, even the cologne is wearing or the scent of whatever chem/bio agent Alan is enough for her to reach critical mass.
God!!! I hate it when my sister does that to me!!! How the heck am I supposed to read when she wants the book practically half closed?
hehe.when reading a previously owned novel, position the book spine down and let the book fall open on its own accord. you’ll notice that the book automatically opens at the ‘juicy’ parts because that’s where the spine gets worn the most.
Phoebe: I let my previously owned novel down, and it opened in the part where Picard orders Riker to beam the remaining crew members off the Nazi planet.
It was pretty juicy. 😀
i can’t say who (though i’m tempted to) but i know this person who actually has a list of rules on reading his books written on the the very first page of each of his (earlier acquired) books. And included in the list is the rule not to open the book beyond a 90degree angle.
To You, i know you’re reading this comment. Bwahaha!!
If a previously-owned paperback bought for 85 bucks at your friendly neighborhood Booksale branch, has spine issues, there’s something I would suggest.
Log on to the Internet. Go to sites that offer free PDF copies of said previously-owned paperback, download and view. I do hope Alan’s phone can read PDF files if he can’t use a laptop or a PDA.
or if you have a good friend who happens to have a printing press have it rebound
L: 2 theories: maybe that’s the part where the previous reader fell asleep and the pages got splayed, or the previous owner(s) had strange fixations. 🙂
Try it with a previously owned Sidney Sheldon book.
@Tora
Most celfones can display text files anyway and it’s easy to save a pdf file into one. I have most of my pdf files as text files and I’m reading Eldest right now on my celfone :D.
