Alan Moore looks kinda like Moses, doesn’t he? He’s right about the horrible comic-book-turned-movies though. And the same can be said for badly interpreted books-turned-movies too. John Grisham’s The Runaway Jury and The Firm were way better as books.
i, too, liked LXG… but some people who read the book says otherwise… its a good thing i didn’t read the book…
Now Showing: Beerkada, the movie… its about college life’s ups and downs… romance, peer pressure, cramming and the not so occasional beer drinking sessions… starring John Lloyd Cruz as Glen, Vhong Navarro as Alan, Katrina Halili as Boopey, Ryan Yllana (from Takeshi’s Castle) as Bryan, and Gerald Anderson as Jimmy… with special appearance of Marian Rivera(or Angel Locsin) as Dana and Tia Pusit as Aling McBeal…
dont worry about the other characters (like Chompy, Fe, Harry, etc) … they will be introduced in the sequel, Beerkada, the Legend continues…
It’s a mixed bag. The Chris Nolan Batman films, Road to Perdition and Ironman were critically acclaimed works. There are also critically-panned films based on Comics such as LXG and a Capt America film released back in the early 90s.
But then, it is unfair to compare the movie adaptations to the original works. In the process of converting them from pulp to celluloid, there may be a lot of adaptation decay involved.

Don’t forget Hulk.
I wanna see some slicing!
After seeing how Hollywood treated one of his other works, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, I can understand why he is that pissed.
L would feel the same way if GMA Films or Star Cinema turned Beerkada into nothing more than a sapfest tailormade for loveteams in their stables
LXG wasn’t that bad. It’s one of my favorites. I like what they did with Tom Sawyer.
tora^2… you just gave L a heck of an idea…
Sorry Jopoy. I have to admit IMHO, it did not do the comicbook justice.
This movie unfortunately was what made Sir Sean Connery quit acting altogether

Is this why Alan Moore never goes to conventions anymore?
@ rehaz: I think there was a thread in the Beerkada Forums for that idea.
You guys forgot about Spiderman 3… the worst I’ve watched. It ended up like a musical… I should have spent my ticket money on CCP! XP
But not all comic movies aren’t bad. Batman Begins and Dark Knight kicked ass.

you really are good with details, mr. gregorio.
ive seen allan moore’s picture on wikipedia. you even included the rings.
i used the same picture as a reference.
there’s a game going around that makes webcomics readers guess which picture the artist used as reference. it’s a fun game.
