Egg? As in “Sta. Clara, pinong-pino…” where you bring eggs as offering to conceive a child?
The only egg place I know near/in UP is the one across Commonwealth with the egg-shaped building. The Philippine Nuclear Research Institute.
Is that where you leave eggs for nuns in exchange for prayers for ‘hopeless’ requests and to ‘prevent typhoons’? I guess the nuns haven’t gotten the eggs lately if Ondoy was any indicator
Before the June Nursing Board exams that place was jampacked with students who bought eggs as offerings. Not only do they accept eggs but also other things like old clothes and tissue paper (saw a lot of it when I went there). Since I got my wish, I believe in it. ^^;
I’ve been here a few times before since I just live around Katipunan. If you’re a regular, some of the “egg vendors” outside the church (who sell eggs wrapped in colored cellophane) would be your friends already. You may also offer sampaguita garlands if you’re quite tight on the budget. 🙂
