Here are Ryan O.’s completed sketchcards. The third image shows the back of every sketchcard.
There will be a total of 100 sketchcards for the first edition.
To get a sketchcard, get your Beerkada book 8 signed by Lyndon and he will give you a one-of-a-kind sketchcard.
Unahan na lang.
I appreciate how Metrobank ATMs try to give you 2 P200s and a P100 when you withdraw P500 nowadays, instead of a single P500 bill.
Anyway, the first stop I make after getting a P500 bill is the fast food outlet.
I remember how I dealt with that P500 bill. You can’t use it for public transportation: when you use it to pay for your bus fare, the conductor would invariably tell you he’d give the change later. After 30 minutes, you’d get down the bus, and suddenly remember the conductor still has P485 of your change.
This as the bus hurriedly drives away, leaving you with smoke-stained tears.
Anyway, the first stop I make after getting a P500 bill is the fast food outlet. They would invariably ask me if I had a smaller bill.
I would invariably go through the motion of checking my wallet (plenty of twenties and fifties, there).
‘No.’, I reply, lying with a straight face.
I do try to avoid being a bastard in convenience stores, buying a P12 bar of KitKat with my P500 bill.
All the while evading the admonishing stare of the cashier.
A first in the Philippines!
The Beerkada sketchcards!
Sketchcards are a growing phenomenon in the US and parts of Europe. When people buy collectible cards, the publisher adds a free card that contains an original, certified artwork from a comic book artist. Collectors are free to trade or sell their sketchcards with other enthusiasts.
Now you have a chance to get your own Beerkada sketchcard when you have your book signed by Lyndon! He’ll be releasing the cards during the tour for his eight Beerkada book, starting next month.
Shown in the image is an original Glen sketchcard by Ryan Orosco.
This poll will run from February 16 to February 23 so make sure to vote ASAP! If your choice is ‘Others’ please comment on it below. 🙂
