they’re usually done during new year and songkran festival chomps, what they do is create a rectangular cube with a candle receptacle. the hot air collected inside the cube will then lift up the balloon.

Er, chompy make sure you have some good cover when you do this and make sure no flammable materials are around. Best do it in a place least susceptible to burning down, exploding or spontaneously combusting.

i can imagine how filipino’s would ruin the traditional “holi” festival (in india)… it has something to do with tondo’s boga, hehehe….
