The 2009 Yellow Pages got delivered to my house this afternoon. I lovvve the cover art. It’s unlike the past arts, those baroque elitist puddles of vomit that think their better than me.
Ariel, Yamiyo, Chompy and I, along with Beerkadets Wingzero, Oliver, and Kai as well as blog journalists Az and Mark C., attended Last Supper No. 3, one of the movies being shown in Cinemalaya last Sunday. Co-written by Beerkadet Jinky L., Last Supper No. 3 is about the trials and tribulations of a production assistant as he gets caught up in the labyrithine Philippine justice system. Great soundtrack, but I found the english subtitles distracting.

Before heading to CCP, the Artist’s Den had lunch in Little Tokyo, and shopped for some goodies in both Japanese grocery stores located near Makati Cinema Square.
You can bet I’ll be drawing about these experiences very soon.
I heard Willie Revillame on TV while I was commuting. His raspy, barely contained vocals need Autotune.
More to the point, I’d pay good money for a mobile Autotune. I no longer wear earphones or use an mp3 player for fear it will drown out critical ambient noise, like the horn of an incoming bus or screams of falling construction equipment falling down on me. But I’m willing to autotune in babies’s cries, Love Radio chatter and inane conversation, turning them into pleasant lyrics I really don’t pay attention to (much like My Humps).
After years of taking the trouble of putting my books on other author’s tables, Powerbooks finally decided to put them for me!
Re-cog-nize!
I just got back from Talk/Back, a side exhibit in the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design. I spotted my exhibit pieces as well as those from Mangaholix.
I wish to thank Luisa Zaide, Monchito and the rest of the MCAD personnel for having my works in their wonderful museum.
