That’s right, it’s 90% certain the title of book 9 is Akibakada. Akiba is short for Akihabara, Tokyo’s Electric Town and ground zero for otakus everywhere.

After choosing all the items you want, simply click on GO TO CHECKOUT on the right sidebar for the final computation of your fees and delivery details. You will be emailed shortly thereafter for your payment and other instructions.
If you find any bugs in the system, feel free to email me at beerkada@gmail.com.
Thanks, and enjoy the store!
ps If the item you choose isn’t reflecting on your shopping cart, it could be out of stock.
The corners of the Cubao intersection between Gateway and Plaza Fair now have guards cordoning off foot traffic during red lights.
All four corners.
I swear, Psychocow won’t like this freedom-curtailing turn of events.
Oh, and if you haven’t noticed, I’ve started blogging about new things happening all over the Metro. Blogging keeps increasing in popularity, and this has left me wondering, “How can I get into all this action? What niche can I fill in?”
I realize that while most people stay on one area day after day, I get to travel a lot all over the metropolis. And so I’m posting on the various goings-on in my daily walkabout for the next couple of days.
Keep tuning in!
I just found out from Japan Foundation that the artworks I submitted for the Cartoon Exhibit will finally make it to Manila this late February. I wish to release book 9 in conjunction with this event. I’m already inquiring on book printers, rushing the layouts, and finding cover artists. What I need now is a title.
The emphasis for Book 9 is Beerkada’s trip to Japan (you can read the strips here.) and the cover art would most likely be a tribute to Japanese pop culture. I like to avoid using “Beer” in the title to avoid any moralistic salesladies in bookstores. Kyu is the Japanese term for 9. Here are some titles generated during the last Artist’s Den meeting:

I was passing by Lawton to pick up my PhilStar check when I noticed Jones Bridge being cleared of vehicular traffic. Streetsweepers were hurriedly cleaning the roads while strollers started occupying the once busy streets.
I asked a streetsweeper what was going on and she said the procession was going to pass in a few hours. I gathered she meant the Feast of the Black Nazarene. True enough, the streets in front of Quiapo Church were filled with devotees in maroon and amber shirts, awaiting for the procession to begin.
