Terminal, by Rupert Holmes

If you live through the 90’s, you’d probably have heard the disco remix on the radio.

Terminal is white man’s hip-hop. It’s about a man who cheated on his wife one afternoon.

He doesn’t regret the affair, unlike Usher.

He regrets not having the guts to stay with his lover. Now THAT’S white man’s hip-hop.

He’s not a jerk, he’s not even a man who makes mistakes.

He’s a wimp.

The Assassination of Paris Hilton

I’m scared.

If they tried to assassinate Paris Hilton, she still won’t go away.

Look at Princess Diana; still in the news years after her death.

And I like Princess Di. But give it a rest in peace!

I fear that Paris Hilton will become an anti-martyr: she’ll die for herself.

Pares

For years, I have passed by food stalls that proclaim GOTO-MAMI-PARES. Now I knew what Goto and Mami were, but what the heck was Pares?
At the same time, I would eat in Chowking and see them offer Braised Beef. Now I get why their other menu offering, like Lumpiang Shanghai and Sweet and Sour Pork, would belong in a Chinese fastfood restaurant. But I never got why this particular preparation of beef made it to the same menu.

Guess what I found out today? 😀

Ps I now know who will be Aling McBeal’s latest rival, after G. Congee, Mami Mary, and  Kikiam’s Delivery Service.

Pares Hilton.

You cannot believe what I saw in the web just now.

They made a movie out of my favorite TV series!

ZAIDO!

And then I realized, ‘Ay. Star Trek.’

How I make Beerkada – the storyline

I sense when I have a good Beerkada storyline if I get ideas for two or three great moments.

I know when I have a great storyline if I know a terrific ending.  Such an ending would not only provide closure, but in some way, would be the logical end of the entire premise of the story.

The start of the storyline is an afterthought for me; its just a set-up for the rest of the strips.

I sense my upcoming Heroes spoof would be one such great storyline.
