A similar sequence can be seen in Alex Galmedo’s Doug n Kitten, currently out-of-print.
The actual Ghelie was very nice and accomodating to the Artists Den during the seminar.
Thanks, Ghelie.
The Batangas students very amazingly imaginative. The comics they drew ranged from science fiction, local horror and light romance to historical epics. Very little manga/anime influence.
Days’ Hotel. Lovely place.
When we woke up in the morning, it was drizzling. The Artists Den had a full breakfast, as we know we need all our energy to give the best seminar to the Batangas students.
It just occurred to me: why didn’t Glen and Alan just reserve a twin bedroom?
I guess Nite Hotel had none available.
The real Days’ Hotel Batangas was cozy. I wasn’t able to try their wi-fi in their lobby, though.
This strip was originally a parody of Kroko, Takas sa Zoo, by the Philippines greatest Illustrator, Hal Santiago.
It’s appropriate, as Chompy is also known for her ferocious chomps.
The Artists Den left by around 7pm from Buendia Ave. to Batangas, a three-hour drive due to the rush-hour traffic along South Superhighway. All we did upon getting to our room in Days Hotel Batangas was sleep.
